Passionate hacker wanted

We are looking for an enthusiastic hacker to join our team.

Tangent Labs is the tech department of Tangent Snowball, one of London's top digital agencies. We are a team of around 30 developers, working mainly in web and mobile technologies, and we're looking to recruit more.

Typical projects include:

  • Large-scale e-commerce. We built and maintain django-oscar, one of the leading e-commerce frameworks for Django. Amongst other things, we use Postgres, MongoDB, Celery and RabbitMQ to solve high-volume e-commerce problems.

  • Rich-domain B2B projects. We use Django to solve complex business problems for multinational clients like Carlsberg and PepsiCo.

We're looking for:

  • A passion for programming and technology - eg a github account, dev blog or open-source contributions

  • A proven ability to work independently and learn quickly

  • Tack-sharp analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong testing: e.g. familiarity with unit and integration testing, TDD, continuous integration.

Bonus points for:

  • Strong Python and Django

  • DevOp experience: e.g. Vagrant, Puppet, Salt

  • Front-end skills: e.g. Backbone, KnockOut, Less etc

  • Non-trivial experience of one or more of Solr, Celery, MongoDB, ZeroMQ, Redis
